Overview of Our Casita Build Process
Here is a rough idea of how the casita build will unfold in order of events.
Proposal
Start things off by getting a quote. Our consultations & Proposals with 3d renderings are free.
Agreement On Price
We will work with you and your budget to build the casita you want at a price you can afford. We put everything into writing and provide you with a detailed agreement.
Engineered plans
We have your engineered plans prepared and summitted to the municipality for approval.
Permits & Fee's
We take care of all the details for you. No hassles or time consuming trips to city hall for you. We do it all.
Blue Stake Work Site
We prepare the work site and have blue stake visit and mark all underground utilities.
Termite Pre-Treatment
Ground will be pre-treated prior to construction and is included in pricing with a 3-year warranty
Excavation
Excavate for foundation to plan bottom per architectural drawings.
Footings and Foundation
Install foundation per plans. Excavate as necessary, form and pour poured concrete footings per agreement.
Concrete Work
Poured concrete per agreement to include: 4” structural slab at a minimum of 3000 psi, footings with #4 rebar and fiber mesh.
Framing Your Casita
All lumber and framing materials sized and spaced per approved construction drawings. Materials, where applicable, to be kiln dried.
Roofing & Windows
Once framing is ready, we will install your roofing per engineered plans along with Low E Windows.
Electrical & Mechanical
Our team will install the mechanical components like A/C and all of the electrical installations
Plumbing
We install all of your plumbing and fixtures according to your casita build plans.
Insulation & Drywall
We install your insulation, (we can use foam or traditional insulation) along with installing drywall.
Cabinetry & Doors
We install custom cabinets and your selected appliances along with trim, doors and baseboards
Exterior & Interior Finishes
We create the look and feel you want by using the most innovative exterior finishes and high quality paint.
Clean up and Detail
We make sure our worksites are clean and everything is 100% during the final phase or our builds.
Customer Delivery
We perform the final walkthrough of your project and walk the project with you to go over each detail of the build.
